Seante Vote Today On Emergency Unemployment Insurance-Conatact Senator Kelly Ayotte
Thursday, February 06, 2014
From NH Every Child Matters:
Today, the Senate will have their final vote to move forward on Emergency Unemployment Insurance. If the bill doesn’t get 60 votes, it will fail and 1.4 million Americans, including more than 8,500 here in New Hampshire, will continue to suffer and have no recourse. These families who have been looking for work for more than a year lost a lifeline when benefits expired last year. Passing this will not increase the deficit one penny.
Senator Kelly Ayotte could be the deciding vote. Call her office in Manchester today and tell her to support the unemployed and pass Emergency Unemployment Insurance:
603-622-7979
You can also call her in Washington at:
202-224-3324
Please make your voice heard. 72,000 Americans lose their vital unemployment benefits each week, benefits that help cover the cost of food, shelter, clothing and child care while families continue to look for work. This is wrong and inexcusable.
